What you are seeing is the widely conjectured theoretical energy landscape model of a thermally stable protein (left) and experimental results from a natural protein that shows this conformation (right). Our project is the first to show experimental results proving that real proteins have a defined energy well to which they naturally conform, thereby accounting for their high thermal stability.
